Welcome
Because of my current workload there is a 8 week waiting period before a ring can be shipped calculated from receipt of full payment.
Every ring is crafted specifically for the person ordering it. No two rings are alike as they are handmade.

Custom changes can be made to the width of the meteorite or the edge.
Price are higher if more material are used than the standard 6mm wide ring.

Up to 12mm wide ring using a 6mm wide meteorite costs $599.
You can choose any type of meteorite, the cost stays the same.
You can choose to make the Titanium edges wider or thinner at no extra cost.

Meteorite Care: Care must be taken to keep meteorite away from chemicals (chlorine, bleach, swimming pools, etc.) especially anything with an acid in it.
You can use toothpaste at any time to clean the surface of the meteorite.
Get yourself some 90% alcohol from the pharmacy and soak it for about 10 minutes in a cup to drive away any moisture when needed.
Remove the ring and dispose of the alcohol in an acceptable way.
Wipe down the ring with a paper towel and set it down to dry.
The alcohol will evaporate.
Meteorite rings can be re-etched at any time. Contact me if you want it done.

HOW DO I GET MY RING SIZE... HELP !!
Contact me with your email address (johan@jewelrybyjohan.com), name and Street address and I will send you a set of disposable sizers for $4 plus $6 for shipping. I will use your email address to send you a PayPal invoice for $10. The sizers are disposable but if you return them I will refund you the $4.
Remember when sizing your fingers that wider bands fit more snugly than thinner ones, and either order up accordingly or let me know that I need to accommodate for a wider band.
If you get sized by someone else (department store or jeweler) I will not be responsible for incorrect sizes. Unfortunately not all sizers and mandrels are created equal, there is no standard. The only way to prevent problems is if I send you a sizer.
WOOD REVIEW
Wood or Inlays made of wood will not last if they continually come in contact with moisture. I have invested many hours looking for a wood product that will overcome this problem. I think I have found it. These wood products have gone through an enhanced water resistance process which reduces the water absorption to a minimum, unlike normal wood rings that have been painted/coated with a water repellent varnish/polish/wax, etc.
They were gleaned from a Timber Production Area which would otherwise have sold the wood as firewood, making it very Eco Earth Friendly and perfect for making rings. The Test:
I have decided to wear a ring made from this wood for the duration of this test. I will never take it off my finger or cover it up.
I started 4 months ago on 2 October 2009 by dropping the ring in a cup full of water for 24 hours.
I then took it out and placed it wet on my finger where it will stay for the duration of this test.
Today is 1 February 2010 and I can say that the ring is just as good as the day I made it. I have showered, washed dishes, had grease/oil on my hands, dirt, doing metalwork, my hands get to do rough/tough work in the workshop, I often wash my hands with soap and water during the day. I dry my hands as I normally do, no time is spent drying the ring. I am very impressed with this new wood so far.

WOOD:
The nature of wood is such that it will break down with enough exposure to water. It is recommend you avoid getting your wood rings wet. Moisture may cause certain wood types to color your skin and may change the wood color.
Sterling Silver pins are used to bond and keep the Silver and Wood combination rings together, therefore it is normal for the pins to be faintly visible on the edges.
Titanium rings inlayed with wood or stone have a joint that is invisible when it is on the finger. The joint is on the inside of the ring. The strength of these rings are never compromised and are as strong as any other ring.
SILVER:
Type: Lustrous precious metal, valued for its beauty.
Sterling: .925 sterling silver.
Durability: Pure silver is relatively soft, very malleable, and easily damaged so it is commonly combined with other metals to produce a more durable product. The silver we use consists of 92.5% silver and 7.5% of alloy.
Color: White.
Finish: Polish, bright and sparkling.
