Introduction
USPS price increase, read about it in the

I can custom make any of my rings you see listed in my store out of PLATINUM, White- Yellow- Rose GOLD, PALLADIUM, STERLING SILVER, TUNGSTEN, STAINLESS STEEL, TITANIUM, MOKUME and DAMASCUS. Some of the styles can be made with TUNGSTEN.
TURNAROUND TIME = 13 - 14 Weeks (SHIPPING TIME EXCLUDED).
Normal orders have a waiting period of 15 - 16 weeks, calculated from receipt of FULL payment. If information is still needed after full payment this may delay the shipping time by 2 weeks after receipt of all information. I am very busy with custom orders.
Rings that are made of Precious metals or contain stones will take 10 business days longer as the delivery of materials takes about a week in most cases.

There is a $75 Rush fee available that will get the ring shipped within 2 Weeks. Rings that are made of precious metals or contain stones will take 1 week longer as the delivery of the material takes about a week in some cases.
I work nights and/or weekends on the Rushed rings.

WOOD INLAY RINGS - a MUST READ:
If you are in the market for a WOOD inlaid in PLATINUM, GOLD, PALLADIUM or STERLING SILVER Ring (or any other Precious Metal). Some info to help you make a better choice so you won't end up with a BROKEN ring, it is after all an investment.
You will find lots of Wood inlaid in precious metal rings on the Internet. None of them can be made with an open flame, the normal tool for jewelers, the metal heats up and the wood BURNS.
But, WITHOUT HEAT you cannot make a solid ring that have NO JOINTS. Think about it, you have to heat the metal so it melts the two rails to the sleeve to form a single solid strong ring that won't come apart years down the line.
BUYERS BEWARE - Before you buy the ring ask how the edges and sleeve were joined together. Ask if you can send the ring back if the edge and sleeve is not a Solid Single piece of metal. If it is NOT then get ready to hear all sorts of excuses that although theirs are not heat melted joints they will never come loose. Nonsense, the potential for the ring to come apart/break is there and you will be out of a lot of money, your investment will be worthless.
If you spend a lot of money on a ring, expect the best constructed ring, one that is an investment and will last a lifetime.
My rings fit all these requirements. All the joints are heat melted into solid joints, forming a ring that will last forever.

RING ARMOR
My new RING ARMOR process will WATERPROOF, STRENGTHEN and PROTECT wood and antler from Water, UV rays, Nicks and Scratches.
After many requests I have started a new process that will protect your ring. You never have to take them off, not even when you shower, bath, swim, wash hands, work in the garden, etc. With Ring Armor the ring will be tough as nails, very strong and durable.
It is well known than ANY wood ring, made by ANY jeweler, that are NOT waterproofed, will eventually break if it gets wet, it causes the wood to swell up and then it breaks.
Wood knocked or bashed the right way will easily break without Ring Armor.
I can apply my Ring Armor WaterProofing treatment to ANY existing ring, EVEN those made by other jewelers.
The ring needs no maintenance after the Ring Armor treatment. If dirty, wipe it down with a damp soapy cloth. Rinsed the cloth with plain water so all soap has been removed, wipe down the ring and then dry the ring.
It is an expensive product to purchase, the treatment takes about a day and a bit to apply on your ring.
I have done many tests with this treatment before I started using it. It is extremely strong.
Ring Armor is an extra cost UNLESS the listing mentions that the ring is Waterproof then the cost of the Ring Armor has already been added to the final price. The cost of Ring Armor is $75. Let me know during checkout and I will send you a separate PayPal invoice.
If the Ring Armor gets damaged I will redo it for $15 (touch-up).

FLUCTUATING GOLD/PLATINUM/PALLADIUM (Metal) PRICES - ATTENTION
Because of the continued rise of these metals on the stock market; it is impossible for me to change all the listing prices every time it changes, it just keeps changing upwards all the time.
Please note that the price will be adjusted after you have placed your order, according to the price I receive from the Metal Supplier. Please make sure you get the latest price from me before the order is placed.
How it works when I purchase Metal:
1) I receive your order, normally I place the order the next day for the amount of Metal needed to make all of yesterday's rings ordered, this way I only phone once and not 10 times a day after each sale.
2) The supplier; They do the same, take all yesterdays orders and cuts them all the next day.
3) Now the bad part. The Metal Supplier charges me at that days market price, the day the metal was cut and shipped. That is about 3 days later. The price of the metal has most likely gone up, rarely down.
4) It is not fair that I take the loss all by myself.
I buy and sell rings made of the same Gold/Platinum other jewelers buy and sell.
My prices are already much lower than other jewelers, the quality is never compromised.
SIZING
All my rings are made with a comfort fit, except for the interchangeable/quick change ones.
I recommend getting sized by at least two reputable jewelers that agree on the same size.
The reason for this is that Ring Sizers differ by the manufacturer that make them and not by the jeweler that use them. Each manufacturer makes sizers using their own internal standard.
I can send you a free set of plastic sizers after you have placed the order. Please write in the messages area at checkout "send free sizers".

INCORRECT RING SIZE

All my solid Titanium only rings have a Lifetime Warranty. Titanium inlay rings are not covered.
A Sandblasted finish is $7 extra on plain titanium rings.
Every ring is crafted specifically for the person ordering it. No two rings are alike as they are handmade.
METEORITE inlaid in Titanium:
Up to 8mm wide ring using a 4mm wide meteorite costs $444.
Up to 12mm wide ring using a 6mm wide meteorite costs $599.
You can choose any type of meteorite, the cost stays the same.
You can choose to make the Titanium edges wider or thinner at no extra cost.
Bigger/smaller Ring sizes do not change the cost of the ring.
METEORITE inlaid in 14K White/Yellow/Rose Gold or Palladium:
Up to 6mm wide ring using a 4mm wide meteorite costs $1099.
Up to 8mm wide ring using a 6mm wide meteorite costs $1296.
You can choose any type of meteorite I have, the cost stays the same.
You can choose to make the edges thinner or wider for an additional cost for the extra gold (if made wider).
Ring sizes do not change the cost of the ring.
Meteorites are NOT perfect. Their imperfection makes them unique and beautiful. Meteorites are formed as they travel through space and millions of years later they may land on earth. They are never perfect so please expect that there may be small imperfections/marks/inclusions visible in the meteorite.
IF YOU EXPECT A PERFECT METEORITE
Contact me before the time if you want a perfect looking meteorite, it will cost you an additional $149.

METEORITE CARE:
Under NO circumstances can I be held responsible if your meteorite rusts when it has left my possession. Why? I have no control over how it is handled once it has left my possession. All meteorite rings leave my possession rust free. If it starts to rust once in your possession then I cannot be held responsible.
I will do anything possible to help you stop or remove the rust.
If your meteorite starts rusting then you may have exposed it to an acid. Acid triggers rusting.
Care must be taken to keep meteorite away from chemicals (chlorine, bleach, swimming pools, etc.) especially anything with an acid in it.
If you have no Wood or Antler inlays on your Meteorite ring then you can follow the cleaning instructions next.
You can use toothpaste at any time to clean the surface of the meteorite. Get yourself some 90% alcohol from the pharmacy and soak it for about 10 minutes in a cup to drive away any moisture when needed. Remove the ring and dispose of the alcohol in an acceptable way. Wipe down the ring with a paper towel and set it down to dry. The alcohol will evaporate.
Iron meteorites can be coated with a thin covering of an oil that does not contain water or chemical cleansers. Just plain old oil is fine. Some of the gun protecting oils and preservers have been used by meteorites collectors with success.
Dab dry when done.
If you do have Wood or Antler inlays next to Meteorite on your ring I suggest getting Ring Armor Waterproofing added, you need no maintenance with that. You can read about Ring Armor at the beginning of these Policies.
Re-Etching Meteorites:
Meteorite rings can be re-etched at any time. Contact me if you want it done.
Etching is sometimes the only way to remove rusting.
Meteorite Damage/Breakage
Once Meteorite Rings/Items are no longer in my possession I will/can not be held responsible if/when it/they get damaged/break/chip if the problem/damage is not reported within 24 hours of receiving the Meteorite, calculated from the date and time on the Delivery notice.
Gemstones: All my gemstones come from here http://www.gemresources.com/ You can pick any gemstone that will work with your ring setting.
The price of the gemstone is included up to the value of $20. Anything over $20 for a gem is for your account and will be added to your invoice.
I find that a 4mm gemstone works the best with most settings, making the ring 6mm wide.
Prices quoted or any discount offered, by any means, are only valid for 24 Hours.
HOW DO I GET MY RING SIZE... HELP !!
I have listed disposable ring sizers that I offer as an service to my clients. I will send you a free set of ring sizers at your request after you have placed and paid for your order.
Remember when sizing your fingers that wider bands fit more snugly than thinner ones, and either order up accordingly or let me know that I need to accommodate for a wider band.

Payment
We accept PayPal, money orders, and cashiers' checks. Please pay within 2 days or indicate that you want to pay with INSTALLMENTS, work will start once FULL payment has been received and cleared. Rush jobs are $75.00 extra per ring or $99 per set.
INSTALLMENTS / PAYMENT PLAN
Yes I do accept smaller payments until fully paid.
You can pay any amount, when ever you like.
How it works:
1) Start with sending me your email address and indicate that you want to pay installments.
2) You let me know (email) of how much you want to pay.
3) I send you a PayPal invoice that you can use to make the payment.
4) Keep emailing me every time you are ready with the new amount you want to pay.
Once FULL payment has been received the item will be shipped 2 Weeks later to you.

Shipping
As of Jan 23, 2012 we noticed that USPS increased their prices. We have always charged actual shipping costs. Please note that you will get an adjusted shipping invoice from us until we have made the changes to all our listings. There are over 300 so it will take some time.
We ship USPS Priority mail to keep costs low and USPS Express International Mail.
Insurance is extra and can be arranged.
Faster shipping is extra and can be arranged.
All extra charges must be paid before the item will be shipped.

Refunds and Exchanges
NO CASH REFUNDS. All sales are final.
RETURNS:
I custom make the ring using your measurements and requirements. I spend the time making your ring, just for you. If I were a factory that made 1000's of these rings you would have no say in the design of the ring and they would all look the same, their cost per ring will be a tenth of mine. Knowing this there will be a re-stocking fee if you return the ring and you will get an in-store credit, read more below.
Return Policy:
Returns must be made within 3 days to be considered for the Re-Stocking fee. Engraved rings cannot be returned under the Return Policy, they have been personalized.
Returns will only be accepted for IN-STORE-CREDIT as long as the returned merchandise is in the same condition as when it was received (no scratches, dents, etc.).
Re-stocking fees (what you pay) on returns within 3 days are 40%. You get 60% credit (of the old ring) towards any other ring/s.
No matter what the reason is for returning the ring, the abovementioned Return Policy will be applied.
If the wrong size is ordered you are responsible for 60% of the cost of the new ring.
All the rings are made to the exact size provided to us by yourself the buyer. Any error in sizing necessitates the crafting of a new ring. The wrongly sized ring must be returned, along with 60% of the initial expense, in order to cover the additional costs of creating another ring. Once completed, the new ring will be shipped to you.
The timeframe for the new ring is the same as the original.
Engraved rings cannot be returned for a refund, they have been personalized therefore I cannot re-sell them.

Additional Policies and FAQs
RING ARMOR - Wood that gets the WATERPROOF TREATMENT
My waterproofed wood is very tough. They can be kept on while working in all environments, you never have to take it off.
WATER & Untreated WOOD
If anyone tells you they can make a ring that will last if wet all the time, run away.
Untreated Wood can take occasional water splashes/drops but not a lot.
Antler must be kept dry.

Jewelry by Johan Interchangeable Ring Instructions:
. Remove Inlay(s) from ring.
. Lightly grip metal rims of the ring.
. Twist ring apart (counterclockwise) making sure not to squeeze the rims or inlays too tightly.
. Remove inlay(s) from ring . Lightly wipe wood inlay(s) with Linseed oil to clean and preserve.
. Clean ring, without inlay(s),with a small amount of dish soap and warm water using a toothbrush making sure to clean the threads of debris.
. Allow ring to dry before reassembling. Hair dryer(METAL ONLY) accelerates the process.
. Place Inlay(s), starting with the smallest, onto Part B (Threaded on the inside).
. Lightly insert Part A (Threaded on the outside) into Part B.
. Twist as if unscrewing applying a little pressure. When you feel the threads line up with a click, reverse direction and screw the ring together making sure to not to over tighten.
STOLEN or LOST
Lost or stolen items in transit must be covered by insurance purchased and paid by you before rings are shipped. Let me know and I will send you a PayPal invoice that will cover insurance.
SETTING OF ANY STONE:
Tension and Flush set rings will not leave my studio unless it has passed all my tests preventing the stone from falling out. If you are concerned please don't use an expensive stone.
If you send me your ring and ask me to remove the stone then you must accept that the ring will be damaged/cut so that the stone can be removed.
I accept NO responsibility for any stone or one supplied by you for setting in a ring if lost or damaged at any time.
Once it has left my premises it has to be insured by your own insurance, paid by you. No claim can be made against me if the stone is lost/damaged by what ever means or reason, at any time.
Please do NOT send me a stone or ring/s with stone if you do NOT accept the above-mentioned about stones sent to me!!.
GEMSTONES:
Please note that if a ring contains any stone/s then the listed price you see has a credit of $20 included towards any stone. Anything over $20 for a stone is for your account and will be added to your invoice.

CANCELLING SALE
We reserve the right to cancel any sale if we feel that the buyer is unreasonable, 50% will be refunded if the ring has already been made and is in our possession.
Untreated WOOD and MOISTURE:
The nature of untreated wood is such that it will break down with enough exposure to water. It is recommend you avoid getting your untreated wood rings wet. Moisture may cause certain wood types e.g. un-treated (normal) or water resistant wood to color your skin and may change the wood color.
If the untreated wood gets wet, wipe it dry and apply a good wood wax (from Menards, Home Depot or other).
Water Resistant Wood is water resistant against it getting wet from drops and splashes only, not submerging it for long periods, it will darken if kept wet for prolonged times.
Wood Maintenance:
Apply a good wood oil/wax when ever you want but at least once every 6 months or when the wood looks dry.
Follow the instructions on the wood product you are using.
When pins are used they will be faintly visible.
Titanium rings inlaid with wood or stone will have a lip on the titanium sleeve that is invisible when it is on the finger. The lip is on the inside (sleeve) of the ring. The strength of these rings are never compromised and are as strong as any other ring.
I DON'T USE WOOD VENEER LIKE OTHER JEWELERS. MY WOOD INLAYS ARE SOLID.
WOOD DURABILITY
All my rings are very durable as they are hardwood and very dense like Snakewood, Ironwood, etc. If you want a durable and water resistant wood then you must look at my Black ash Burls, Red Oak Root and Box elder Burl.
Any wood ring will last a lifetime if looked after.
It is best not to get ANY untreated wood products wet. If they do get wet wipe them dry and apply only a little bit of good wood oil/wax, let soak for a 1/2 hour, wipe off and buff to a shine.
SILVER:
Type: Lustrous precious metal, valued for its beauty.
Sterling: .925 sterling silver.
Durability: Pure silver is relatively soft, very malleable, and easily damaged so it is commonly combined with other metals to produce a more durable product. The silver we use consists of 92.5% silver and 7.5% of alloy.
Color: White.
Finish: Polish, bright and sparkling.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. Can rings be re-polished?
Yes.
Over time, the ring may have some scuff marks and the finish may alter. A re-finishing process can be used to restore the ring's natural brilliance.
2. What are the cleaning instructions for a wood ring ?
You can clean your wood rings with a water dampened cloth, let dry and apply a good wood oil/wax on a cotton cloth, let dry again and buff dry with a jewelers cloth.>
3. How long does a wood-ring last?
With proper care there is no reason why a wood ring won't last a lifetime.
4. Can you use another type of metal other than silver?
Any of my rings can be made with Platinum, Yellow Gold, White Gold, Palladium, Silver and Titanium. (additional costs may apply).
5. Can another type of wood be used?
Yes.
Wood that have passed our tests for durability and shine under the toughest conditions can be used. Contact us for other options.
6. Can my order be shipped to an international location (outside North America)?
Yes.
All orders destined outside North America, please add about US $26 for USPS International Priority Mail. It is well known that Customs in the receiving country may delay delivery.
7. What happens if I order the wrong size?
Our rings are made to the exact size provided by yourself to us. Any error in sizing necessitates the crafting of a new ring. Wrongly sized rings must be returned, along with 60% of the initial expense, in order to cover the additional costs of creating a new ring. Once completed, the new ring will be shipped to you.
8. Is Faster/Express Shipping available?
Yes.

9.Will my wood ring (color) look like the photos when I get it.
Maybe. The photo is an example made from a part of the wood. The shape and the wood type will be the same. Your ring will be made from similar wood but may vary in color, etc.
Please don't purchase from Jewelrybyjohan if you don't accept all and everything mentioned in my Policy.
